Who am I?
Crafting and working with my hands has always been a joy for me. Over the years, I have delved into many different types of crafts including knitting and sewing. On one of my many crafting weekends, I was introduced to the pattern I now use to create these pillowcases, and after sewing a few of them, I had an epiphany. I really love to sew and sewing this pattern was FUN! I realized this is what I wanted to do, isn’t the ultimate dream to love what you do? Working the 9-5 job had been satisfying but not as much as creating my own business. Here I could make something that everyone needs, something that can be utilitarian, but that I could make special, personal and fun.
With this inspiration and support from the many talented people around me, HeadCases was founded and my passion of creating custom-made pillowcases became a business. I love pulling together creative, eye-catching designs and making them into something practical and cozy. Pillowcases are something everyone uses and a custom-made one can bring a smile or comfort to the person resting their head upon it. My pillowcases can also add a sense of whimsy, style and fun to any room. Who wouldn’t love a bright, cheerful pillowcase while staying in the hospital or as a hostess gift from a family or friend visiting? Giving a gift that will get used is something everyone strives for, and I am confident the gift of one of my custom-made pillowcases will get a lot of use!
